Matterhorn «Le seigneur du Valais et du Valtournenche»
The Matterhorn high route is the master tour of "the mighty lord" in climbing terms; it offers the chance to admire the “lord” from many different perspectives. A ring tour with Cervinia or Zermatt as both the departure and arrival point with an ascent to the panoramic view at the Tête Velpelliné ( 3,799mt) and return to Breuil.

Programme:
Day 1:
Breuil Cervinia – ascent by cableway to the Plateau Rosa (3,470mt) – Furg Glacier - Hirli (2,800mt) – Schonbiel Refuge (2,694mt)
Tot. rise 700mt - drop 1,200mt. TM: 5 h
Day 2:
Stochji Glacier – Colle Valpelline (3,562mt) –Tête Velpelliné (3,811mt) – Col de la Division (3,314mt) – Aosta Refuge(2,781mt)
Tot. rise 1,100mt - drop 1,000mt. TM: 7 h
Day 3:
Aosta Refuge(2,781mt) – Dent’Herens spur (3,967mt) - Aosta Refuge(2,781mt) - Prarayer Refuge (2,005mt)
Tot. rise 1,190mt - drop 1960 mt  TM: 7- 8 h
Day 4:
Prarayer Refuge (2,005mt) - Colle di Valconera ( 3,066mt) – Perucca Refuge (2,900mt) – Finestra di Cignana (2,445mt) – Breuil Cervinia (2,003mt)
Tot. rise 1,050mt - drop 1,000mt.  TM: 7 h

Requested technical level: good physical preparation, itinerary offers no technical difficulties.

The programme is subject to modification or interruption at the discretion of the Alpine Guide if participants’ technical abilities prove inadequate or adverse weather conditions occur.

Cost: €   each (group of 2 – 3 persons per Guide)
         €.   each (group of 4 - 5 persons per Guide)

Fee includes: meeting point – Breuil Cervinia transfer both ways, Alpine Guide assistance and expenses, refuge half-board, packed lunch at noon (the first two days packed lunch will be bought by the organiser and transported by participants), Plateau Rosa cable car, group materials.

Fee does not include: beverages, any costs incurred for rentals and any item not specified in “Fee includes”.
If itinerary changes occur which are not attributable to the organisers (e.g. bad weather, inadequate technical ability of participants, etc.) any extra costs incurred will be debited to participants.

Enrolment deadline: 30 days before the planned excursion.
Enrolments are accepted on a non-refundable 30% down payment of total cost. The balance must be paid 10 days before the beginning of activities.

Meeting point:
a) in front of the Cervinia cable car ticket office at 9am
b) on request in front of Chamonix Railway Station at 7am
c) on request in front of Courmayeur Tourism Office in Piazzale Monte Bianco at 8am

Return scheduled:
a) in front of the Cervinia Breuil Ticket office at 3pm
c) on request in front of Chamonix Railway Station at 6pm
c) on request in front of the Courmayeur Tourism Office in Piazzale Monte Bianco at 5.30pm
